Attn Alumni: Blue Mountain Candle Fundraiser

Greetings Fellow Alumni,

JUST IN TIME FOR CHRISTMAS!!!

Blue Mountain Candle Co Fundraiser

The Lehighton Area High School Class of 1992 is holding a fundraiser with the assistance of the Blue Mountain Candle Company Inc.

Each 26 oz jar candle is double scented and double wicked. The burn time is 125-150 hours of fragrance. The cost per candle is $11.00 and delivery will be just before Christmas.

If you are willing to help us sell or willing to purchase a candle, please let us know. The more we sell, the better. I have included a listing of available scents as well as an example order form for anyone willing to sell or buy.

Orders and money are due Tuesday, November 27th 2007. Please make checks payable to LAHS Class of 1992.

Regarding LAHS Alumni - Alumni Directories Available!

Greetings Everyone!

This is just an FYI to you all that we do have extra booklets available if you are interested in receiving a copy. If you live in the area and would like to pick one up please let me know. If you would like one sent to you please send a check in the amount of $2.50 to cover shipping costs. In this case, please write out the check to me directly so I can immediately send out the booklet instead of forwarding the check to the treasurer, etc. If you would prefer to pay via PayPal (direct transfers only, credits cards not accepted), please let me know and I will email you my PayPal info.

LAHS Committee Meeting scheduled - 9/16 @ 12pm

Greetings,

Our Annual Committee meeting has been scheduled for Sunday, September 16th at 12:00pm (noon) and will be held at Faust’s Restaurant located on 443.

We are going to be discussing the following:

1. The reunion – how did it go in your opinion? What should we change? What can be improved upon? What kind of feedback did you receive from other alumni?
2. Our next fundraiser? We have decided to hold 1-2 fundraisers per year instead of trying to accumulate funds at the last minute. Our gaming license expires in March of ’08. Considering it cost $100, we should utilize it 1 or 2 more times before the expiration date.
3. Our finances are in dire need of discussion. Brandy P, please be sure you obtain and rifle through “all things financial” before this meeting. I would like a breakdown of where we stand exactly and an ITEMIZED breakdown of expenses and deposits over the last year.
4. What style of reunion would you like to have for the big 2-0? Please think about it before the meeting and give us your thoughts.
5. Anything you feel warrants discussion. The more thoughts and ideas, the better!

Please come to the meeting if you can. If you are unable to come to the meeting but would like to voice your thoughts and ideas, please email them to me before Sunday the 16th and I will speak on your behalf.

To those of you who were able to make it to the reunion, it was great to see you again. The 15th year reunion was a lot of fun, with your help the 20th will be even better! I hope to see and hear from you soon!

Time for Elections - Regarding Committee Officers

Greetings Fellow Alumni,

The reunion is quickly approaching and with that, elections for committee positions will also become available. If any of you are interested in any of the following positions, please reply to this email noting the position you are interested in obtaining. (NOTE: This includes alumni that are currently in or have acting positions on the committee.)

The following positions are available:

The President shall convene regularly scheduled board meetings, shall preside or arrange for other members of the Executive Committee to preside at each meeting in the following order, Internal Vice-President, External Vice-President, Treasurer, and Secretary.
The Internal Vice-President shall be charged with the planning and execution of the Annual Meeting, and Incremental Reunions.
The External Vice-President shall be charged with maintaining the membership list, any dues collection, the dissemination of communications to the membership and communication with Lehighton Area High School Administration.
The Secretary shall be responsible for maintaining the minutes of all meetings of the association and will coordinate the external communication via the LAHS Class of 1992 website.
The Treasurer is responsible for producing an annual budget, monthly reports of all transactions to be sent to the Executive Board, planning, through a committee, the fundraising efforts of the Association. They will also coordinate the examination of an audit annually.
Directors-at-large shall assist the Executive Committee.

The closing date for applying for any of the above positions is August 10th 2007 at 5:00 pm Eastern. Elections will take place at the reunion being held on August 11th. In addition, please pass this information along to any fellow alumni with whom you’ve remained in contact as I do not have email addresses for everyone.

Reminder: LAHS Class of 92 reunion meeting scheduled for July 15th

Greetings fellow Alumni!

This is just a reminder that our next reunion meeting is scheduled for
Sunday, July 15th at 9:00 am and will be held at 443 Diner.

We have ALLOT to cover at this meeting as the reunion is less than a month
away! We need to discuss what kinds of drinks we will have - what types of
games there will be - how much money we have to spend on door prizes - and
so much more!!! We will be taking a drive to the Grange after the meeting
to discuss setup and see what is available for use that day.

THIS IS THE LAST OFFICIAL MEETING BEFORE THE REUNION!!

Please join us for the meeting if you can - contact us with your ideas if
you cannot. Any help is appreciated!

Reminder: Please RSVP for the reunion!!

Greetings Fellow Alumni,

Please be advised that the deadline for returning invitations is approaching
fast ( July 14th). Please get them to me ASAP. We need a total head count
for the caterer. In addition, please fill out and return your classmate
survey. We need to finish the classmate booklet so it can be printed before
the reunion.

If you have not received your invitation, please let me know ASAP. If you
wish to come to the reunion but are unable to send the RSVP before the
deadline, please send an email to us and let us know so we can
include you in the head count. We are willing to work with you!

Even if you do not wish to come to reunion, please return the RSVP with
"unable to attend" checked. We need your response regardless!

Also, if you are currently in touch with any alumni, please pass this
information along to them as well. We do not have email addresses for
everyone at this time, so any assistance you can offer would be fantastic.

Next meeting scheduled!

The next meeting will be held on Sunday, July 15th at 9:00 am at the 443 Restaurant. This is the last actual meeting to be held before the actual reunion. If you want to be heard, please attend the meeting.

Lottery Calendars

Hi all:
Our little outing at Walmart on Sunday didn't go so well. That was a learning experience for next time. We will need everyone's help to sell the rest of our calendars. We have about 250 left. Christy and I are tentatively planning to hit the pavement in beautiful downtown Lehighton this Thursday night. Anyone care to join us? You are MORE than welcome to tag along. We will be leaving my house by 6pm. If you have kids, bring them along. Kids are great at selling stuff. :)
If you know where parents of alumni live, maybe you would want to stop by and offer them a calendar personally. I plan on walking through Franklin Twp myself at some point.
I also heard that Miller's Store in Franklin Twp usually is willing to put things like this by their register. I will be checking that out. Any other ideas are welcome.
If you can help with selling some calendars please give me a call or call Christy. The calendars are $5 each and run through the month of July. You get 2 numbers. The lottery is based on the 7pm PA Lottery. The top prize is $100 on July 4th.

LAHS meeting scheduled for Saturday, March 10th

Hello There!

The next LAHS Class of 1992 Reunion Committee meeting has been scheduled for Saturday, March 10th at 4:00 pm. It will once again be held at Faust's Restaurant located on Route 443.

Now that all major decisions have been made, we need to get enough money together to keep costs low.

Here is the list of things we wish to cover at this meeting:

Fundraising! Fundraising! Fundraising!

We need all the help we can get!

By March 10th, our Tommy's Subs fundraiser will be in full swing. If you are interested in selling or purchasing, please let us know! Each ticket costs $3.00 and is good for an 8-inch sub from any of the following locations:

Tommy's Sub - Jim Thorpe
J D Citro's - Lehighton
The Pyramid - Palmerton

We want this reunion to be a family affair and this increases costs. Catered picnics can cost allot of money for a family of four and that is why we hope to raise enough money to cover a majority of the premiums. We want the cost for attendees to be MINIMAL. In order to accomplish this, we need your help.

Please join us for the meeting if you can - contact us with your ideas if you cannot. I have included the current list of committee members in case you prefer to contact someone specific.
